Trash, Garbage & Debris Disposal
Below is detailed information about, and rules for, disposal of garbage, trash and debris:
Dumpsters
Dumpsters are situated beside the entrance to the Cherokee Ridge maintenance area next to the driving range. The dumpsters are available for use by all residents. They are the sole depository for Creekwood Condominium resident trash. If you find the dumpsters are nearing capacity, please hold your trash until they are emptied. Dumpster pickup is Tuesday and Thursday. Please do NOT put any type of hazardous materials in the dumpsters. Prohibited waste includes wet paint, oil (other liquids), asbestos, sealed tanks/drums, electronics (e-waste, batteries), tires, construction debris, appliances and furniture including mattresses & box springs. Please bag household garbage before putting it in the dumpsters. Please do not leave any items beside the dumpster. RepublicServices will not pick up debris left outside the dumpsters. It is the resident’s responsibility to dispose of trash responsibly.
Yard Deris Field
The Yard Debris Field is located at the top of the mountain on South Ridge Drive. The debris field is for residents to dispose of yard debris, limbs, leaves, etc. Please do not deposit debris outside the gate, or away from designated areas. Boxes, bags, pallets, construction materials and household garbage are not permitted in the debris field. If you bring yard debris in bags or other containers please empty them and remove the containers from the debris field. The Debris Field is open on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm.
White Goods Disposal
The Marshall County District One Shop accepts white goods appliances (washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, and freezers only) from Cherokee Ridge and other District One residents Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents may leave the appliances by the dumpster behind the shop equipment shed. at 3850 Eddy Scant City Road in Arab. It is not necessary to put the appliances in the dumpster. Shop employees will use loader equipment to transfer them. Phone number: 256-753-2557.
